Medium Armor & Shield

Brigandine: It is a garment typically made of heavy cloth, canvas or leather, lined internally with small oblong steel plates riveted to the fabric, sometimes with a second layer of fabric on the inside.

Weapons

• Daisho (大小); refers to a set of katana that are designed to be worn together in a pair. Literally translated as "big & little", the daisho are comprised of two weapons, The Daito and The Shoto.
• The Daito ("Longsword"), which is typically a 17th-century uchigatana-style long blade that is the primary weapon in the pairing. This is the typical katana.
• The Shoto ("Shortsword"), which is a small, curved short sword that is used as a "sidearm" or a weapon of last resort. Shoto are also known by their more western-popular name of "wakizashi."
• Kodachi ("Dagger"); are shorter Shoto that can be used for throwing.
• Nodachi ("Greatsword"); also known as an Ōdachi which translates directly to greatsword. These japanese katanas are longer than all other katana, and are curved in a way as to slice through a target instead of slicing into.
• Guandao ("Glaive"); In Chinese, it is properly called a yanyuedao (偃月刀 "reclining moon blade"). It is comparable to the Japanese naginata and the European glaive and consists of a heavy blade with a spike at the back and sometimes also a notch at the spike's upper base that can catch an opponent's weapon
