Veethios (a.k.a. Vee)

Veethios, or "Vee" as he prefers to be called in good company, is a young, silent wizard dressed to travel the world.
There was once a time when Veethios was not silent, back when he and his twin sister lived in the modest village of Relya in the country of Aakasha. Their lives were not free of tragedy, as their parents died in a fire when they were young, but they were still happy as they were raised by the community of the village. Together, Veethios and his sister, Kelmaia, helped their fellow villagers and trained to protect their home from the Envis soldiers that often crossed the border. Unfortunately, in one particularly brutal skirmish, Veethios and Kelmaia were separated.
The trauma of the separation caused Veethios to lose his voice. Save for the quick bursts of sound he'd make to cast his spells, he hasn't spoken a single word since that day.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Vee stands at 5 feet and 11 inches tall. He is generally lanky in stature but his legs are well-built from months of travelling by foot, and he does have some tone in his arms.

Body Features

His skin is a grayish shade of ruddy blue, and his ears are the length of a humans but are pointed at the ends.

Facial Features

Vee's hair is jet-black and is cut in a short but shaggy look. His black horns raise up from his forehead, sweep back, and then curve up again to form a rounded lightning-bolt shape. He does have a bit of stubble, though he does try to shave when he can. His eyes are almost as dark as his hair, though some claim there is the faintest trace of blue in them.

Apparel & Accessories

He wears worn wizard's robes, lined with furs to keep warm. On his right pinky he wears a simple wooden ring with the name "Kelmaia" carved on the inside. His staff is made of sturdy wood and topped with a moonstone crystal.

Personal history

Veethios was born to a young couple in the poor village of Relya. Many of the villagers insist that he and his sister were born so close together they "came into the world holding eachother's hands". When the twins were seven, a fire broke out in thier home, and while the twins escaped with minimal harm, their parents were crushed as the house's structure collapsed on them in the inferno. From there on, the village came together to raise the two orphans.

Education

Vee has a basic education from being taught at home by his parents and then by villagers. He also has his training in wizardry, which has involved several hours worth of study.

Employment

Vee learned a few different trades while living in Relya, but he took to cooking the easiest and often worked for the innkeeper by assisting with food preparations. When travelling on the quest to find his sister, Vee would take up different jobs to earn money to keep himself fed and sheltered. When he entered the Kingdom of Etoir, he assisted a company he met under contract with the Prince.

Mental Trauma

Vee is nonverbal as a result of the separation from his twin sister. He is capable of producing vocal sounds such as grunts and shouts, but he cannot speak.

Contacts & Relations

Vee is currently working for the Prince of Etoir, and his closest contacts are the company he is working for. He has a crush on Aquarius Dewdrop, a water genasi woman in this company. He has tried confessing how he feels to her, though this backfired in part because of his inability to communicate and also because of her misunderstanding of the gesture he made. Since then, he's decided to hold back on acting on his feelings until they complete their mission.

Hobbies & Pets

Vee loves to cook, and enjoys spending time preparing meals for friends and family. His favorite kinds of food to make are comfort foods he'd love from Aakasha. He also loves to read, and enjoys a cozy afternoon with a cup of tea and a good book.
