King Murasame

The current ruler on Nalchaa's empire that once unified the continent, King Murasame is the last of his line and the first male to occupy the throne alone in over 2000 years. When his mother, late Queen Himiko, had only 2 sons she broke the tradition of female heirs that had been established by Urthemiel McBain before the First Epoch and named her eldest son, Prince Nobuya, as heir. Before taking the throne however the princes rode northeast well armed and with a platoon of soldiers to hunt a powerful dragon. During the battle Prince Nobuya perished and the younger Prince Murasame became the imperial heir. As King he patiently listens to the advice of his councilors and many of his decisions seem strategically sound, but some rigid laws and taxations weigh on the hearts of the common people. There is no doubt that the land has been in a turbulent time since the Chaos Cataclysm during his mother's reign and the decisions ahead cannot be made lightly. What actions His Majesty will define the future of the continent.
