Tabaxi

The tabaxi (called catfolk by some) are a race of feline humanoids that emerged from their home deep in the jungles of southern Casway after the pandemonium of the Second Epoch. Natural climbers and unarmed fighters with their sharp claws, the catfolk prides were probably the most advanced tribes in the jungle. They rarely engaged in trade or dealings with other races, preferring to keep to themselves most of the time, but once the earth shook with divine vengeance they set out from their homeland to see what had happened to the outside world. Tabaxi are very nimble and catlike in their combat movements. Their humanoid forms often stand at a hunched posture that make them appear much shorter than their outstretched bodies actually are and the females tend to be slightly larger than the males, they typically are the dominant members of the nomadic prides that remain in the jungle. They have distinctly feline heads and extremities covered in thick fur patterned akin to various big cats, featuring leopard spots, cheetah eye black, and lion manes. Both hands and feet sport vicious claws that can do significant damage when they leap upon their prey. Although tabaxi had little use for clothing or other material possessions in their homeland they have quickly adapted to the materialism of the modern world, usually making good use of reach weapons and light armor to compliment their natural skills.    Tabaxi fur comes in shades from coal black to snow white, rocky grey to sandy gold, oft shades of yellow or brown if not monochrome. The patterns are unpredictable and they may grow long hair on their chins or atop their heads. Their eyes are yellow, green, blue, or silver in descending rarity.
