Cronus

In 4037, a distant planet called Cronus was colonized to mine for Stellium (colloquially referred to as "Maze") - rare, highly sought after and immensely valuable mineral. It is capable of conducting energy efficiently and storing massive amounts of data within its crystalline structure. Various space-faring civilizations require Stellium for interstellar travel and other technological applications, so demand remains high. Nevertheless, as additional planets with high concentrations of Stellium were found in more habitable regions of the galaxy, all mining operations on Cronus came to a halt. Subsequently, the planet fell under the rule of a totalitarian regime that was covertly manipulated by a cult known as "The Sovereign Few," leaving citizens oppressed and crushed under their rule. A small resistance movement lives in the shadows, working hard to spread their cause and ultimately overthrow the government.
