Mad Doctor Dutton's Otherwhere Adventures
MDutton Log Date 1907 Dr. Matt Dutton is a well-known mystery and adventure writer. His work involved capers that sent him to prison several times. With political influence from the Garamund family, along withe escaped long sentences. His usual stay lasts only 6 months. He used his only year long prison sentence to write a novel and earn a law degree that kept him from being arrested for varied accusations about his process for exhuming corpses from local graveyards. Dr. Dutton continues to argue that the practice of medicine, in particular surgery, required the dissection of the dead. The nearly dead being used for research is an unfortunate collateral mistake. It is dark when bodies are rounded up and his grave diggers don’t always see well. Touching a dead body or looking for a pulse is a tricky procedure that results in strange presumptions.

Dr. M. Dutton Journal Entry: I've found in most cases the first groups to compete for authority are the least respected groups in a country. What little goods, services and prosperity they have, the compete to keep. It is my opinion this is an intentional ploy on the part of sects who govern the wealthy and lives of the displaced. Ethnic groups who are competing for the same resources leave the authoritarian class alone to do as they please.
In Airemoia two groups of peoples are constantly at war. They come from the same early descendants who shared common beliefs, traditions and gods, but they broke into sects when they were offered bargains for their produce and loyalty. The el-e-goot and the bee herder leadership found insignificant differences they could turn into disputes.
Forgooten Bee Herder Harvest
For thousands of Airemoia years, bee herders gathered honey in what they called the wild. Bee herders knew the process of trapping bees required forest land not to be destroyed for barley or wheat cultivation. Before farmers arrived after a volcano destroyed their original fields in east Airemoia, the two groups shared a culture, a trading relationship and common religious practices. After a volcano struck in 1532 BCE, the farmers moved into west Airemoia. With their ancient methods for cutting trees, it took hundreds of years to reach the mountains where their agriculture was intefered with the herding of wild bees that required different climate conditions.
The Forgooten herder population did not grow at the rate the el-e-goot population grew. They did not require pack animals, technology and weather protections. They lived like nomads on the move from one end of the forest to the other. While peace reigned, there was no need to breed labor or a military. One by one, small groups of bee herders were overcome by encroaching el-e-goot bands of marauders, who constructed fences, forced out the herders and wiped out their hives. Herders survived by moving farther into the difficult, higher mountain terrain and closer to areas that were not considered safe by the el-e-goot farmers. They agreed to barter large amounts of honey for far less valuable barrels of beer. The Forgooten fought back when possible, but not until 32 BCE after a destructive earthquake that left the el-e-goot weak, could they protect their way of life.
If it weren't for the timely earthquake the el-e-goot farmers were destined to lose their successful fields.
