An Attune Ritual Knife
Ghostblade
A Candela Obscura investigator could use their Ghostblade to wound a ghost or other vaporous creature. A Ghostblade could be used to strike down a demon or other magical being that is protected from conventional weapons. It could be used to reveal an invisible enemy or expose a hidden doorway to another realm. It is a ritual that allows a user to attune a ritual knife to themselves, granting it the ability to wound magical beings and strike invisible or ethereal enemies. To perform the Ghostblade ritual, the user must coat the knife in their own blood, taking a Body mark in the process. Once the ritual is complete, the knife becomes bound to the user and can only be used by them. The Ghostblade is a supernatural threats tool, but it is also dangerous. Using the Ghostblade exacts another Body mark. Body marks in excess are deadly. Unlike most other gear issued during the Circle Initiation Celebration, or sold for a nominal sum at Spouters Tavern the Ghostblade must be earned during an investigation. It is an award for logical bravey under pressure. No investigator should own a ghost blade without reservation. It is deadly and self directing. Targets fall within several feet no matter where it is thrust.
