Unexpected Pentimento
Timothy Lignon, Artist Lignon lost his South Soffit Art Gallery during the war. It was bombed, but he was able to save his most previous work. Not necessarily the work the rich buy, but work that means the most to him. For a few weeks, while suffering from fatigue, hauled himself and his art from place to place. When Jason Garamund, a patron of Timothy, discovered about his loss, Jason invited him to live in his manor house while he paid local Crooked Mile contractors to renovate a shack on the corner lot near the river. The shack was a mess, but the surrounding woods and stream were beautiful.
The light was also perfect for painting. Because he worried Timothy would need light during the violent thunderstorms that sprang up near the deep caves, he had loft windows installed.
Rarely seen elsewhere in Crooked Mile, the Aurora Borealis can be seen after storms in the area near the Lignon studio. Rays, spirals and dynamic flickers cover the sky from dusk to dawn. Researchers write papers about the short days and long nights that are not explained, argue there is more research needed to explain the effect of the mist that rolls in from Perpetual Seas.
Most prized are landscapes of the colored lights in the night skies. Timothy tried to pay Jason back for his studio’s construction, but he didn’t accept his offer. Instead, he chose a beautiful painting Timothy created the first night he lived in his finished studio. The interaction of charged particles from the sun with the Earth’s atmosphere. The sun’s interaction with charged particles release a flume called the solar wind that collides with the planet’s magnetic field. One theory suggests the Lighthouse Keep filled with protective candlelight, influences the flare.
