Cyril Potter, local auctioneer and Crooked Mile Committee Chairperson, is the owner of the Potter Animal Hospital. Residents are able to bring their pets to the clinic. Between duties he does for the village and auctioneering, he makes farm calls for sick horses and other farm animals. The hospital constantly requires repairs, but it medical help is provided at no cost, regardless. Vet students from Briarbank Annex College attend to the animals when he is not available. The clinic can house six horses at a time. After the stampede and fire, the hospital housed 15 sick and confused horses. No one knew they were taken there to study and tend. Cyril and the students wanted to uncover the true cause that led them to stampede. He believes it was some kind of poison.
