Betty Mathers, Recorder Mathers, an Order of the Shadows member, dedicates herself to studying Queen Cirsea's Curses Cirsea's writings. The Order's mission is heavily impacted by her spells and curses. Providing nourishment for the Cirsea Crusthoulians is her mission, as the Queen admires their evolutionary progress. The creatures are interested in spreading a contagion that clings to them.
Over a span of 3,000 years, a series of natural events, curses, and spells resulted in two additional parasitic infections, a deceased or nearly deceased family member, and an unaccounted-for cult of shadows. Their success originates from their shapeshifting ability to blend easily into the human world. Once acclimated to their environment, the shadows begin to spread infections, resulting in a constant stream of followers ready to carry out their horrifying commands.
Betty is commended for her ability to perform the transformation ritual during mission persuasion gatherings. A deacon discovered Betty's corpse in an alley. He had a hunch that the Queen left the Orfien there. Within a few days, she was infected with a Shadow's parasite, and it was a successful infection. The parasite's genetics matched those of Queen Cirsea.

It's crucial that the spell's target drinks unpolluted water, free of parasites. Finding this water is a challenge in heavily industrialized areas where the wealthy settle near freshwater springs and the poor drink run-off water.
the Order spell, which produces a shape-shifting creature that manipulates human thoughts, is difficult. It is necessary to burn, not just bury, the corpse that holds the egg-bearing shadow. The drains emotionally with this memory ceremony experience. Memory ceremonies necessitate time to gather the moments in an Order of the Orfien Pilgrims life that results in fortunate outcomes.
