Cirsea Isle, Mist Covered Dead Holler and Perimeter Sink
Gazette News Travel Guide
From the desk of Melody Rice, Reporting from Cirsea Isle
MRice Log Date 1907
Cirsea Isle is an imaginary cluster of islands east of Crooked Mile and part of the Manor House Bay. The main island, Cirsea Isle has long been a popular vacation destination. Perimeter Sink is seen rarely. Historians argue that it is accessible every fifty years. In other years, the mist and poor weather makes it impossible to see or find by boat or balloon. Dead Holler was only seen once. Recorded by Cathaleen Garamund while following a creature, she wrote about her experience in her published botany book.
Jason Garamund insists the islands are inhabited by shipwrecked colonies of living and near dead humans, Shadows, and Crusthoulians, a sentient species of evolved crustaceans that are being escorted into an area of the Westwreck Districts in Hale. The creatures are considered demigods by the Order of the Shadows and their acquiescent congregation.
Dead Holler is a hidden island where the Orfiens, an extreme religious cult landed after enduring a shipwreck. Their story is disturbing. Their inability to sustain their lifeystyle led them to bargain with Shadows and the Crusthoulian creatures, who provided them with a food source before they came to worship the Crusthoulians who lured them into the dependent relationship.
Perimeter Sink is a shallow island that floats below the water table for three seasons out of the year. Unfortunately, no one knows how to determine the dry season. It is said by the few surviving pirates who lived to tell their tales that any ship, canoe or raft will conjure a storm that sinks the island no matter the season at hand. One group of human known as Shadows dragged themselves off the backs of their human hosts and flee safely to the island.
