The Whiskey Barrel
The lumbering whistle blows
To the barrel ev'ryone goes
They all come around
A party's abound
For that's where the best whisky flows!
A Fairly Restful Tavern
The Whiskey Barrel by Dan Pirone
The Whiskey Barrel is the go-to spot for the laborers of the
Strompton Lumber Yard to rest and relax after work. It's kegs are made from the finest wood of the
Strompton Forest, giving every beverage a unique flavor. It's run by a mysterious, soft-spoken bartender named
Robin.
The Whiskey Barrel was one of the first few buildings created in Strompton after the Lumber Yard was established. Every evening, workers from the yard would come in for a drink or two to dull the edge of their workdays. Now, the tavern has become the social center of Strompton, much to Robin's chagrin. The townspeople hold meetings, gambling tournaments, dances, and parties in the humble bar. Robin takes their money and cleans up after, but rarely speaks up or helps with preparations.
The main building of the Whiskey Barrel resembles a giant wooden barrel on its side. This building contains the bar and dining room proper. A small, rectangular add-on to the back of the 'barrel' functions as Robin's quarters and the entrance to the basement storage.
Subtle glamours have been laid over the building by hidden runes. These enchantments are powered by Robin, and they give a calming aura over anyone in the vicinity, preventing barfights and scuffles. This has had the unintended consequence of causing the tavern to be a bit of a passive drug all its own, the calming powers giving people just the relief they need after a stressful day, before they've even had a drink.
The Whiskey Barrel was built in merely a day when Robin arrived in town. It quickly became the premier hangout for the hard workers of Strompton, as the stock was never low and always delicious.

This place has a cozy feel and makes me want to sit down and take a load off. I would like to know if there are other staff around to help Robin out? How did they come to meet him, if so?
I have a bit more reasoning on Robin's reasoning for working solo in the page about her, but I am thinking about giving her a pixie cleaning service.
Ooh, I see. That is different and must be quite the job going solo. Thanks for responding. Oooh, a pixie cleaning service sounds like the perfect helpers! ^.^
