The Fey'slayn War (FAY-SLAY-IN)

Near the end of the Age of Fey was the "Dark Fey'slaen War". It was recorded as a conflict between elven houses over matters of religion and misused magics. The war lasted for 300 years while taking many elven (and eventually Dwarven) lives as the Drow were defeated and forced to retreat forever into the Underdark.
House Drow was found to be using evil magics to achieve greater understanding of the God's power. Drow began to pray to Hixx'lixxapis "Poison, Sickness and Disease" and KarKoffus "Dead God of death and decay" and routinely entering the Underdark in search of lost evil artifacts.

The Conflict

Prelude

The Elven House of Drow was found to be using evil magics to achieve greater understanding of the Gods. The Drow began to pray to Hixx'lixxapis "Poison, Sickness and Disease" and KarKoffus "Dead God of death and decay" while routinely questing the Underdark for lost evil artifacts. When discovered they refused arrest by any authority, thus beginning the war.

Deployment

The other Elven Houses fought their Drow brothers in every Fey Forrest across Cruul's surface. Blood washed the forest floors for 300 years of bloody conflict. The Drow, with superior advantages in magic and weaponry, saw victory within reach until the Dwarven Kingdoms came to save the good aligned Elves, sending the Drow into the deep Underdark forever.

Outcome

The war killed so many elves that it is estimated over 70% died from war. This has greatly reduced the elven population that still has not recovered to this modern day.

Aftermath

The Drow have since turned Crude and of the Black Blood."Crude Blood" . Worshipers of Hixx'lixxapis "Poison, Sickness and Disease" and favored by M'Guglagoth "God of Monsters and Pain" .

Legacy

The Fey'slayn War is recorded differently by Dwarf and Elven histories. Elves paint it as a horrible sadness that forever changed the elven collective, while the Dwarves write of a fantastic war where Dwarves got to crush evil elves in wondrous combat worth of Greygor "Dead God of Valor/War" himself. But in both cultures it stands as the moment in history where Dwarves and Elves swore to make peace with each other for what they hope is forever.

In Literature

Many works on this subject exists within all cultures that have historical interests in ancient war or magic. Elven literature stands as the most accurate text on the matter, while Dwarven accounts do a better job at explaining each strategic movement of war.

Technological Advancement

Magic was highly used on both sides of the conflict, with much of it being newly discovered at the time or given to the Drow by dark forces of evil.
