Shuce Isles

Decades after the explorers found the islands a group of humans easily conquered the islands and enslaved the native wood elves. Some time after this conquest a group of moon elves split off from the group led by king Ra’ith and started a war against the human conquerors in an effort to save their elvish brethren and free the islands from human rule. 
After the war against the humans was won the elves crowned Theodmon Starstrike first of his name as Emperor Of The Isles.

Shuci People:

The moon elves that were led by Theodmon settled down on the islands and taught the wood elves about their religion and technology. The moon and wood elves intermingled and in a couple of generations turned into one ethnic group, the mix resulted in elves with a lighter skin complexion resembling mediterranean skin, the elves had mostly dark hair like wood elves but eyes like moon elves, ranging from light blue to dark purple.

Religion:

Religion of the Shuci people is a mix of moon and nature worship called Shuciki, The moon is thought to be the bringer of life and protector of nature, it rose these islands out of the water for the Shuci to live on, and it blows the winds that the Shuci use for sailing. 

Culture:

The Shuci people became experts at shipbuilding after the races mixed, using the stars to navigate they never lost their way at sea. The enslavement by humans was not forgotten and through the ages the distaste for humans remained. the Shuce Islands lacked good metal to forge weapons so the elves made weapons and armor from an alloy forged from a special species of coral only found around the islands and silver. the Shuce Islands were filled with an abundance of silver, gold and gemstones, resulting in a large amount of trade from and to the Shuce Isles. This caused the unwanted attention of pirates lurking in the Mastar’s. The Shuce Isles quickly became a hot spot for pirate activity, the many small islands of the archipelago were ideal for setting up hideouts, making it hard for the Grand Guard to combat the pirates. Buildings made by the Shuci are mostly painted with lighter colours and most buildings have flat roofs, were people setup gardens and terraces.

Political:

The Shuce Isles have been ruled over by the Starstrike dynasty ever since the crowning of Theodmon, during his rule he founded the city of Asilio on the middle isle of the three largest islands in the archipelago, he also set up the Grand Guard as a military force to protect the cities and the people of the Shuce Isles. 

Geography:

The tropical flora and fauna found on the islands is seen nowhere else on the world, nature was allowed to evolve this way due to the islands isolation from the rest of the world. Most of the islands are covered in thick jungles and lush forests, the most inhabited islands are also the three largest, from north to south the islands are named:

• Karunto: Largest of the islands Karunto houses most of the gold, silver and gemstone mines and provides a large part of the islands economy. The island also provides most of the not imported food on the islands, with soil ideal for farming. This is because the island is home to a large volcano that occasionally erupts and covers the farmland in a layer of fertile soil. Karunto is also home to most of the timber industry since most of the madara trees growon the island, madara trees are giant trees which grow up to a hundred meters in height, their tropical wood is expensive but the biggest source for wood on the islands. 
• Akullero: Home of the capitol Asilio and the royal palace Akullero is the most populous island of the three, most trade takes place here because of the numerous settlements and it’s central location. It’s also regarded as the wealthiest of  the islands because of the large number of nobles that inhabit the capital of Asilio. 
• Faratian: Most of the coral reefs are located around Faratian, which makes it the main place of operations for shipbuilding and general smithing, since most of the metal used on the islands is an alloy forged from coral and silver. The island is also were Fort Islamont is located, base of operations of the Order Of The Storm Swords detailed below.

Order Of The Storm Swords:

Originally set up to combat the increase in piracy, the order turned into an order of bounty hunters hireable for hunting monsters, pirates and evil-doers alike. After the order was set up it became a tradition to inflict lycanthropy upon experienced members, it was seen as a blessing instead of a curse due to its close connection to the moon,the Storm Swords went around the isles collecting bounties until the order grew larger than the isles and a number of Storm Swords started travelling to other places around the world. The types of lycanthropy inflicted on members consisted of wereturtles, weresharks, wereoctopi and werecrocodiles, all of these animals can be found on and around the islands themselves. 

The order will take:

bounties to earn money and make the world saves but will occasionally do things without reward if it results in a better world. The order has a silver sword struck by lightning as their emblem which is also what they put on their boat’s flags, a flag feared by most pirates.
