The Age of the Planar Conflict
The Tise of the Elder Gods
Looking down on the world, now green and bustling with life, both her creations and "unintended side-effects", Dariël, no longer able to destroy these on a whim sought to completely start over again. But as destruction wasn't in her nature, creation was, and much of her power was now sealed away in the elemental planes, the primal energies where her creation after all. she needed help. And so she consulted with the other gods. Cawelt and Dariël didn't see eye to eye, as Cawelt had already done much to create this "new world", and wiping it clean was not an option, Slyduhl providing fuel for the raging Cawelt resulted in another outburst from Cawelt, which cascaded in a full on fight between him and Dariël, this resulted in massive quakes, tremors and volcanic eruptions belching black moke, burning stone and primal energies.
This fight lasted for the majority of the planar conflict, at the end of which a wounded and exhausted Dariël, who had managed to finnaly break free from Cawelt's embrace gathered enough primal essence to form and plant Enthraeim. After which she with a mournful sigh fell apart, her essence coalescing around the world, possibly creating the weave, equally creating and steering the lands of man as she would be controlled as well. Cawelt wounded and angry returned to his slumber, Condemned to never again move among the cosmos. SLyduhl slipped once again in between the planes, where he lies waiting to forever spread his chaos, keeping is gaze on the unfolding world, seeking to mold the world to his whims.
The races of the prime gods and their offspring manged to survive either from withing the earth itself, massive forts, their magical floating cities, or being able to survive this upheaval by virtue of being created to survive far worse. But many of the creatures which came into existence on their own perished. Especially when the beings we know as demons and Devils started to appear, which surprisingly well adapted to the world flourished. This period during which the planes shaped themselves into those we know today, and mortals, immortals, and fiends battled for control over the planes of existence, fueled by the powerful primal energy brought to the surface is known as the Planar Conflict.
During this time, five beings rose up, and claimed their position as godlike beings, these would be know as the Elder-Gods
