The Pirates of the Seas

Jeremiah Codsworth, the Captain of the Ice Hawk:

Driven by a wanderlust quelled by his human side. Jerimiah was born the son of a Human mother and High Elf father. Raised by his mother after his father left, driven by his quest for knowledge, he had a long and difficult childhood, filled with a strange urge to collect knowledge. The prejudge against elves and the normal troubles of a child growing up in poverty, which was mostly caused by his mother’s fall from grace after her affair with the elf became public knowledge. Variations of this story are passed around in taverns and inns, but the truth is only known by Jerimiah and his most trusted friends. His crew exist out of the most hardened northern sailors, from berserkers of the Haspeau Nation to the cunning rogue from the Staicor domain. His ship the Ghostly Ice Hawk is a strange amalgamation between an Spearan Warship and an Haspeau long ship. This somehow led to a ship that is both very durable and incredibly fast.   He is known and feared by most of the traders in the northern regions, and although he doesn’t stay in one region for too long, his presence is noticed by the traders and the local populous. There are rumours that he even managed to raid an Auran trader and lived like a king for a year, building a grand castle on an island somewhere on the sea of woe.   Daralis ‘Charming’ Beck with of the Pearl: Not much in know over the Illustrious pirate captain which sailed the waters of Mastar. But various rumours speak of their ship the Pearl appearing out a fogbank which just seemed to coalesce out of no-where, and disappearing in a similar way during their escape. Due to this, she has managed to probably be the most successful to have ever sailed these seas. Her giant treasure has never been found.

Notes on Piracy on the Northern Seas:

Although the sea of woe knows many dangers, pirates are not very high on this list. This is mainly caused by the high bounties for those that merely disrupt the routes of the normal trading ships combined with the meagre cargo they carry. And not to speak of the ships of the Auran trader, heavily armoured and fire resistant and often armed with open flames to be used in combat. And their cargo is valuable, and there are no bounties for attacking these ships, the wrath of the Auran traders can be a great detergent. Based upon this it is a miracle that these Seas know a famous pirate, the Illustrious Jeremiah Codsworth

Notes on Piracy on the Southern Seas:

The calm blue waters of the Mastar’s Waters combined with the gentle breeze, calm weather and plenty of traders carrying valuable cargo, these waters are a haven for those who seek their wealth by robbing those. The only downsides are the various sea monsters and heavily armed naval ships which try to deter these pirates. But even with these drawbacks, piracy is common place in these waters. A notable pirate captain was Daralis ‘Charming’ Beckwith.
