The Birth of a guild of Treasure seekers
When the Beiro Sylvaryn came across the then named: “Treasure Hunting society”, about 100 Cycles ago (Cycle 718), a small guild ran mostly as an excuse for the Aristocratic youth to escape the grasp of expectations and run about, get drunk and claim that rock they found was special. 50 cycles after the war with the Spearnia dominion the guild was started by Beiro, the first 30 years were scraping by any means, filled with setbacks and learning experiences, only progressing because Beiro refused to give up, the following 50 years saw the guild getting up to speed attracting new members including Alross, now with enough knowledge on how it is done and a few strokes of luck, the remaining 20 years saw the guild spreading its influence and running into that opposing guild, and eventually its downfall. Within a few years, the guild was steadily on its way to become a success, partly due to a stroke of luck which prompted the guild to find a rather sizable and ancient tomb not far from the town. This combined with the charisma of Beiro and the flawless book-keeping of Alros Valnan resulted in a very successful endeavor. This all changed somewhat when their hunting grounds started to overlap that of a rivaling guild, The Saphire Vanguards which were in the capital of the region, Feardham. The firstly accepting attitude towards their competition quickly changed as time went on, with armed conflicts at sites of historical interest becoming more and more common. Seeing this development Beiro decided that something must be done for this situation was costly for both guilds. An agreement was made and a few Temgos later both guilds took part in a competition, the price: region and beyond the wide promotion of their guild and the other guild being required to leave historical sites if they would show up there as well. The Sapphire Vanguards won the completion easily and even found time to ridicule their opposition. From that moment on the guild went into decline, they got far fewer jobs, and those that they got where either dangerous or tedious, and all paid relatively poor. After a year of misery, a glimmer of hope emerged. The temple of Kydrus in Feardham had an item that needed finding, which the guild found after a long and expensive search. But their moment of triumph was short-lived for as they went to deliver the item to the temple, disaster struck, and a horrid creature of tentacles emerged, one that would disintegrate and corrode anything it would touch, it destroyed the temple and the nearby houses that stood nearby. Killing all those who were inside, including Beiro and the guild’s A-team. The creature luckily was unable to sustain itself for long and disintegrated soon after it had destroyed the temple. One survivor walked away from the disaster, the Tabaxi who was a member of the now-dead A-team, Dar’livra. The following year the guild went almost face-first. Without their charismatic leader, the guild was crippled in more that one way. In an attempt to rescue the crumbling guild, Alros who was now in charge decided to sell off the valuable treasures that were all over the guild, start a small tavern and promote the Guild as a one that could solve all kinds of problems (from infestations to cleaning), dark times ahead.Payment:
