Although the art of magic is well known, many consider it beyond their reach, with only archmagi and their apprentices fully understanding and being capable to control it. And with a history filled with magical mishaps, tyrannical mages and the ever-present curse of Itzehiel, many see this art as threat to their safety. Even though this powerful gift can do much to make life easier.

The Arcane Arts:

Achieved by study and research, the control of the arcane is only for those with the aptitude and perseverance of those that can study ancient tomes for many years, but an innate magical potential might expedite this process. This kind of magic is the main source of distrust for the magical arts, for a mage that has studied too long and learned to much might dream of and bring forth a many eyed being, gifted with the knowledge of the mage, and with the powers far beyond theirs.

The Divine Gift:

Another way of achieving the mastery of the proficiency of the magical arts, is the blessing of a god. These beings have a supernatural connection with the weave that binds, and they confer this connection to those that have proven themselves to be their loyal servants. 

The Natural Blessing:

Those that surround themselves with nature and open themselves to the energies that flows through it, might absorb some of this power. These with this power have an expanded understanding of nature and its ways. In addition, they can bend this energy and form it to their will.
