What started out as a single trip turned out to be a world-wide sensation.

When Stephen Aera's bakery burnt down during a accident that set ablaze the entire merchant quarter in Taresh, his entire world got turned upside down and the dreams of buying a house in the countryside for him and his soon-to-be wife got ruined. His business gone, he took what was left of his savings and raw baking materials, loaded everything on the cheapest hot air balloon he could find (because no one trusted these innovations and horses with carts were too expensive) and set out to travel as fast as he could to his fiancée who was then working as a nurse near the borders of Bohemia, in the hopes that maybe, they can start a new life somewhere else.
To pass the long hours of drifting in the air, Stephen continued to make little fondant and marzipan flowers, he usually put as a decoration on his various pastries. Soon enough making just flowers and little pearls proved to be boring as well so Stephen started making little clouds and trees and mountain-shapes and lakes and animals he spotted from the air. He sold all of these the minute it got too dark to continue the journey or the weather turned too sour - basically anytime this inexperienced pilot deemed his crazy adventure too risky to continue for the day and decided to land. He exchanged his little candies for some decent dinner and a place to sleep. But word got soon around that there is a flying candy shop in the skies and his travels gained attention and much support from the public as soon as people heard his story.
His sudden arrival was a great surprise to his intended who fell in love with that floating thing as quickly as she fell in love with this crazy baker, proclaiming that "Any place can be our home as long as we are flying together."
To this day, well in their seventies, Stephen and Irini do occasional voyages across the world to sell candy and baked goods to wherever they land - and by their own words - they will continue to do so "until the God strikes us down with a lightning bolt or something stupid".
