Order of the Golden Chalice
Money run the world and even gods know that.
After the public and very bloody execution of the marilian church leader, Ignatius Marilia, a group of his followers split from the original religious group to form a new one - the Order of the Golden Chalice (which is what the traitor got for revealing Ignatius's location to the royal guards). They decided to do so after the realisation that it is money what effectively run human civilisation, not any moral principles, and because of that they need to make sure the wealth is always on their side, so they can protect their own people.
The order quickly rose in popularity and after a decade or so was allowed to come out from the underground and become an official religion. Today, it is the second biggest church in the Republic.
Main Precepts
- Money is everything.
(Many followers keep a gold coin somewhere on their person at all times. It is given to children after their birth for luck.) - You are only allowed to buy objects.
(Followers do not hire the services of people, because of this. You are only allowed to buy what is not alive. For example: buying wood is fine, but buying a potted plant is not. Buying chicken meat for dinner is fine, but buying a hen for eggs is not. When hiring a doctor to treat you while sick, you do not pay the doctor for examining you, you pay for the medicine only. When hiring workers to help you build a house, you pay them for the finished roof or a wall, etc.) - You shall not stand by slavery.
(This is pretty self explanatory. Work without any sort of compensation is bad.)
