Treaty of Two Queens

Signed in 1507 both in Almandian and Bohemian language, this document ended the 70 years long period of wars between these two countries, commonly known as the era of Holy Crusades. This peace treaty was negotiated and signed between two most influential figures of that time - the virgin queen Adelaide of Bohemia and the queen dowager Mariolle of Almandia - and was upheld for hundreds of years to come, until the Great War and the subsequent dissolution of the Empire.   This treaty cemented the diplomatic and economic relationships and mandates of each country towards each other and dictated the conditions under which the Bohemian Kingdom and its lands will join the Almandian Empire. One of the conditions for example was keeping the integrity of this region and that no future emperor may claim their rule over this region before they go through the coronation process and bow before the altar, the nobility and then the people. The first one who went through this process was the grandson of the queen Mariolle whose Bohemian coronation was joined with the wedding to the aforementioned queen Adelaide, who was the last descendant of the Bohemian ruling dynasty. Their marriage proved to be a happy one and he added one more unwritten but upheld condition to the treaty, which was issuing all relevant royal decrees in the Bohemian language as well as the Almandian.   The manner of the text and the negotiations that led to a treaty such as this also proved how much the position of a queen was important to a stable political regime and that noble women in history were rarely just baby making puppets and it was them who managed to bring stability and peace to the region that remained unchallenged by either party for years to come.
