Apigi
A minor Terran system in Tiatholon, lying on a now-dormant provincial trade route out of the Falken Drift.
Apigi is the local name for the dwarf star that barely illuminates the system. The only currently habitable area is a large, well-populated waystation on the largest dwarf planet.
Most of the work in Apigi was related to passing trade, whether serving the needs of freighters or enforcing (or circumventing) the often byzantine Terran customs laws. With trade cut down by the Coalition's invasion and many of the eastern buyers under the control of the inhuman Kitsunes and Vaiaelons, the system now sees occasional use as a repair yard and staging post for Terran patrols.
Apigi Post started life as a modular research station overlooking an odd canyon, but has grown segment by segment into a labarynth of narrow passageways and small multi-functional rooms circling a refurbished stockpile turned spaceport. Apigi's black market has eclipsed and consumed legitimate trade entirely, making it impossible to tell what is and isn't illegal. Strong paragravity systems of an unconventional type make the station feel almost like a 'normal' planetary surface.
Hardly fond of the Imperial government already, the system's populace have been earmarked for increased propaganda attention by some of the disparate Terran intelligence services.
Geography
Apigi's Scar
A local landmark and one of the only items of note on the ice-bound planetary surface, a large and near-perfectly circular trench that cuts deep into the dwarf planet's surface. The circumference of the trench is about half that of the world itself. Contrary to the beliefs of many of the locals, the trench appears to be completely naturally occuring, or perhaps was caused by a significant blunt impact deep in prehistory...
