K3 Exorig
When most people think of heavy infantry, they think of power armor. Modern knights with metal skin, towering over others as shots simply ping away, wielding weapons larger than most people as they stride through the field of battle.
The Alliance of Heroes went about it differently. During their early forming, they never found many armor specialists, and they had begun to develop the doctrine of low maintenance high mobility that they still have today. So instead they went a different direction.
The K3 suit was created as a joint project with the Uen Imperial Protectorate, they created a suit that use Cavorite nodes to project a series of small artificial gravity fields. This allows the user to carry heavy objects, enhance blows, reduce recoil, and manipulate the field in a variety of clever ways
Though the term suit is commonly used, it isn't very accurate. The K3 is a thin harness, often worn below clothing, that wraps down the back, around the hips, along the arms and legs (or equivalent appendages), and attaches non-intrusively at the base of the neck. The cavorite nodes are circular and appear at constant intervals along the harness. At the end of the harness, at the back of the neck, is a chip that allows it to interface with the AoH neurological package. This allows the agent to control the suit via thought, while the internal computer interprets the neurological order and adapts the fields to fit accordingly.
The suit has a built in power generator in the belt that runs both the built-in shield and the anti-grav fields. While the fields are capable of picking up most anything, Alliance backed companies have created several basic modules that use the suit's generator to power. The most common variants include a heavy laser cannon, personal micro-missile launcher, a wrist powered cutting laser, and a C&C suite. These are linked and powered through the nodes, and while the suit's generator can only power 4 modules, an extra battery module does exist for those who really want to pack on the firepower they can bring to bear. In addition to the standard modules, it is not uncommon for a K3 agent to cut the top off of a tank and use it as a large rifle. For this purpose, K3 agents often carry a nanobot canister to allow them to adapt the internal mechanisms to work temporarily with the suit.
Though the K3 suit is rather intuitive to use, the heavy use of cavorite in it has limited it's production. Though they're becoming more and more common in the wake of the Terran war and the Karnian Konflict, they're still mostly limited to use by elite units
