Spines
The neon sign resembling a cross between a fish and an anchor is seen in many back alleys of Longfield, and especially Azure Coast - the Spines' stronghold and income base. Less subtle graffiti walls depicting vast maritime battles with colossal glowing sea monsters with abyssal eyes and far too many teeth also mark their territory.
The name of the game is Entertainment - Bars, clubs, BD dens, casinos, brothels - Spines own it all. Many are legitimate businesses, and some serve as fronts for the gang's illicit operations - human trafficking, prostitution, XBD, drugs production and distribution.
Spines are recognizable by their aggressive style: neon colored leather with metal spikes, heels, hooks, glowing tattoos. They drive bright and loud cars and speedboats, shining and strobing, blasting the latest of the Philippino chrome-metal hits.
Even though the goal is to get the guests of Azure Coast high and drunk, the Spines' foot soldiers follow strict sobriety code. In fact, the gang observes rigid hierarchical structure similar to military company.
Spines are known for ruthlessly and efficiently enforcing order and discipline on their turf, but never in a public way that can damage the reputation of Azure Coast, and scare away the moneybags. Which in turn is a good background for the balanced deal with Longfield police. The gang's philosophy is that business is preferable to war in the long run. They are focusing on keeping their territories, but are not above annexing more turf if the opportunity arises.
Historically, the Spines' success is due to organic growth, not corporate backing. While they are a faction to be reckoned with, they are yet to achieve the level necessary to support corporate connections and side contracts.
