Kaukaz 271 Aras

Soviet cities may be bleak, dangerous and none too pleasant to look at… but they are clean. The Communist Party nomenklatura waged a domestic war on garbage. “Down with candy wrappers and broken bottles!” “We stand against cigarette butts in our streets!” Such were some of the rallying cries that were met with thunderous applause by party apparatchiks. These appeals, however were not met with the same enthusiasm and dedication by miners, factory laborers and kalkhoz farmers. As a result, the responsibility for widespread waste collection fell to the USSR’s experts in robotics, paving the way to the birth of the Kaukaz 271 Aras.   The Aras is an autonomous cleaning drone that quickly came to be known for its affordability and reliability (even if a bit clunky). To the surprise of the Soviet leadership and the General Secretary of the Community Party. The Aras became a highly sought product for export internationally. It can now be found in major cities across the globe, including Night City. Many consider it definitive proof of the superiority of a centrally planned socialist economy.
