Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Robin is a fit man, lean in build but muscular. He maintains a calisthenics routine from his days in Arakasa's Military.

Body Features

During his time in the war, Robin lost his left, and primary, arm in a rocket attack on his unit. He has a cyber arm replacment, however he often feels phantom pain. He wears gloves at all time, to not give the illusion he has that much cyberwear.

Facial Features

He has a rough face, with a perpetual stubble and medium length, messy brown hair. He has a boxer's jaw, with a somewhat box like face. He has brillaint blue eyes, though never shows them.

When he is appearing as "The Sparrow", Robin always wears a suit, and his sunglasses, both defining characteristics of those who know him as "Sparrow".

Physical quirks

Robin always wears his sunglasses. When he was in the Army, he and squadmate and long time friend, Anamaria were together. After the war however, Robin began his work as the sparrow. Anamaria, while agreeing with his ideals, didn't agree with his methods. They split on good terms still, but don't keep in contact with eachother much. Her favorite thing about him was always his eyes. and so when he gave up his life as robin, he decided to cover them, to help and try to put that life behind him.

Personal history

Robin Reaves was born in 2003 to two parents. His father was a small time boxer who tought robin how to fight, and shared with him a love of reading. his mother. however, was old world Yakuza. When night city really started to get big, and the mobs started to move in, Robin and his parents moved into the japantown area with the yakuza. For his early years, he had a decent life, however, when he turned 6, Arakaza delared war on the Mobs that ruled night city. After those two years of turmoil, Robin's mom was captured, tried as a criminal and sent back to Japan to serve time. During the next few years, robin was raised by his father and the streets in equal parts. to keep money, his father started to work as a lawman, but due to that, he was rarely home. Instead, robin grew up with a few of his friends, who were also hurt by the falling of the Yakuza.He had 4 friends mainly when he grew up, and formed a tight nit gang with them. Anamaria, John, Koda, and Mano. They were as close as family, and could always be found with each other. During thier teen years, they acted almost as a streetgang, protecting the kids on the streets from the smaller gangs who prowled the slowely dwindling area they called home. Anamaria and Koda were the smartest of the group, and Mano and Robin were always the muscle. John was fast and quiet, unlike most of them, but was also great with a bat. when war broke out in 2020, the group was just turning 18, and deciding which side to fight with. Koda andmano's dad worked for Arakaza, and even though they were hesitent, they joined up with them. During the war, Robin quickly showed his charisma and leadership skills, and was granted command of his own 10 man unit, of which all 4 of his friends were in. Late into the war, Robin's unit came under fire by a large unit of Miltech's Line Soldier's. During the fire fight, Robin lost his left arm to a rocket, and 5 of his unit were killed. His friends, though all taking thier hits, survived, as did thier lieutenant, who was with the unit on this movement. Robin and his unit were busy in recovery when the nuke went off, and Arakaza lost the war. After the war, The group went thier seperate ways. Anamaria went to join Biotechnia as a scientist/Doctor, in an effort to start more humanitarian efforts, and to stop the larger corps and government from hurting the people. Koda, angered at what he saw as robin's betrayal and the loss of the war, joined his father in upper managment of Arakaza, swearing to get back at Robin for this. Mona, while still close with Robin, left to find her own way in the world. Robin isn't sure where she is, but is sure she is alive and living peacefully. John, also injured severly in the war, never found peace of mind. Despite all of them trying to reach out and help, everyone lost contact with him overtime. Robin believes he has gone deep into drugs and cyberwear, in an effort to gain back his speed and strength he once had. He also swore that he would Kill robin for making him this way. Robin, during the war, found peace in the books his father gave him. They were stories of a hero, that his father named him after. A man named Robin hood. He fought against oppression, and for the freedom of all mankind. When robin decided to do the same, he decinded he needed a codename, but didn't want to be called Hood. So he stole from another book. A book about a Pirate named Jack Sparrow. and so, The Sparrow was born. A well writen, well spoken revolutionary. He wrote songs, books, poems. Soon, the name of "The Sparrow" was out there. A legend that existed seemingly as a phantom. A well written, well spoken man, who struck out against the oppressors of the masses. While not overly popular, he has a small, but loyal group, who all believe in the mythical figure, known only as "The Sparrow".

Education

He had some formal training as a young boy, but soon was only home taught. His father, and friends Koda and Mona helped him learn to read and write at a college level.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Has published many books and poems, and has written quite as few songs and speeches. His music is the most popular volume of his works.

Failures & Embarrassments

Robin has had some failed relationships before in his life. He has tried to go out multiple times afterwords, but his heart and mind never seems to be in it, and it always falls apart.

Mental Trauma

He suffers from phantom limb pain from his left arm and a bit of survivors guilt from his unit in the war. He also misses his friends more than anything, and tortures himself about how it ended between them.

Morality & Philosophy

He believes in freedom and that people truly have the power in the world. However, he is not as well spoken as he seems to be. To the world, The sparrow is a well edjucated man. brimming with intelligence and will. In real life, robin is far more blunt and less cordial with his words.

robin doesn't really believe he is good enough to be the persona he has created.
he likes his mmo a bit too much. He doesn't drink anymore, after seeing what it did to himself and his friends after the war. He worries that after he dies, nobody will be brave enough to be the next sparrow.

Personality Quirks

He wears gloves to hide his robotic arm. He isn't ashamed of it, just doesn't like to be reminded of the war. He doesn't drink. carries around a briefcase with coppies of his book in it.

Hygiene

Sparrow is a very Hygenic man, and takes great pride in his personal appearance. He is always dressed stylishly and thanks to his enhancments, tends to look better than most around his, especially other rockerboy's.

Contacts & Relations

Anamaria- She and robin had a small relationship during the war. while they were passionate about the same things, thier methods were too different, and so they parted as friends, each seeking the same goal in differnt ways. Koda- Feels betrated by Robin. He wishes to see his friend suffer the same feeling of Betrayal he has, but does not know where robin is or care to look. Mano- When they were teenagers, Mano and Robin were close. So close a relationship was basically assured, but during the war, Mano often ran communications. as such, they drifted apart. When the war was over, Mano left all of her friends, to get away from all the death. Her and robin still obviously care for eachother. John- Wants to Kill Robin. He blames him for leading his team to failure and for the breakup of the group. want's to kill all his friends, but will start with robin first. Lieutenant Kane- Hates Robin, and insults him for his failures as a soldier.

Family Ties

Robin's mother is still in prison in japan serving a sentence. Though she is not fully japanese, that is where she is a citizen.
Robin's father retired from life as a lawman and has settled down. He trusts in robin and his ideals, and while he worries for his son, he believes that he is doing the right thing.

Religious Views

Sparrow doesn't really believe in any god. He does believe that most people are good at heart, but that due to the world they live in, they close that part of themselves off.

Sparrow is, and always has been, the guy to talk to. He talks, sings, and tries to charm just about everyone he meets.

Hobbies & Pets

Robin, in his time away from the Sparrow, likes to play the online mmo Elflines online. He has a max level elf on it. otherwise he goes out to clubs to be near his fans and spread his revolution.

A soldier during the 4th corporate war, he saw the horrors of life first hand. After the bomb fell on night city, he now tries to stop both corporations and the government from hurting the people. A revolutionary leader.
