Criminal Activity
By Bo Sykes Charged with Fifteen Murders, Now Enjoys Easy Time
After two days of testimony and heated argument and pleas from both sides, the Ascension Parish Superior Court has ruled that Stanley LaVelle, AKA The Atomic Butcher (and in some circles known as Noh-Face) should await trial, not in the maximum-security wing of Ascension Parish Prison, but rather in the, by comparison, luxury accommodations of the Briggs Hospital for the Criminally Insane. The decision was announced late Friday by Judge Noah Marx. Judge Marx, who dismissed the case against possible co-conspirator and Major’s brother Clement DeCharne two weeks ago, has been coming under fire in recent days for his favorable rulings for defendants and his possible connections to DeCharne family. The Atomic Butcher Case, which has seen wide interest by the public, continues to uncover new bombshells seemingly every week, from the dismal security practices at the Acadia Atomic Power Station, to the until recently unreported brazen train theft of state-of-the-art cybernetics belonging to the ARASAKA Corporation. This week court-appointed defense attorney Gabrielle Jang continued to leave the prosecution on the defensive with her hard evidence of an initial search of the crime scenes by agents in Raven Microcybernetics limousines and a list of unsolved crimes linked to the so-called “Naraka Cult” which took place while Mr. LaVelle was in custody. “My defendant is not well and has been influenced by some outside group to commit these heinous acts, for which he is remorseful and repentant. I will use whatever tools the law has granted me to make sure my client receives his full rights under the law” said Attorney Jang on the steps of the courthouse late Friday. Attorney Sam DeMergatt declined comment. The trial of Stanley LaVelle is set for May 6th at the Ascension Parish Courthouse.
