Galileo Economy
The Galileo colony is part of the ESA monetary system throughout the orbital habitats.
The system is used to control the majority of the population in orbit. Each of the lower workers are given a salary. This is then reduce for the cost of using the habitats resources, such as food, water, and sometimes air
Base Salaries (Monthly)
- Low Level Worker (station maintenance, food service, etc) - 1,000-3,000eb/month
This is based on a 10-12 hour work day with 1 day off a week. Overtime can be acquire with management sign off. - Mid Level Worker (supervisor role, requires higher education) - 2,000-5,000eb/month
This is based on a 8-10 hour work day. 2 days off each week. This is salary so no overtime. - High Level Worker (Manager, very few highriders are in this role) - 5,000eb+/month
Get your job done for the day however long it takes you. Again on salary.
Commodities
So what is available for the highriders to spend their hard earned ducets on? Highriders need to first pay for their living, food, and other essentials needed to maintain a semblance of normal life.
Housing
- Single Bunk (comes with locker) - 500eb/month (minimum requirement for workers on the colony).
- Double Bunk (comes with double locker) - 900eb/month
- Single Quarters (small room with own kitchenette, living space, bed room and private bathroom) - 2,000eb/Month
- Double Quarters (small room with own kitchenette, living space, bed room and private bathroom) - 3,000eb/Month
- More lavish quarters are available either below terra panels or on the terra panels. These start at 5,000eb/month. With this price you get multiple rooms, more spacious head room, and other built in luxuries.
Food
- Basic Meal Plan - 400eb/month (minimum requirement for workers on the colony).
- Midgrade Meal Plan - 600eb/month
- High quality Meal Plan - 1,200eb/month
- Restaurant meals are available in various areas on the colony. Costs are in addtion to the above plans.
Other Expenses
The colony has other avenues to spend your eddies. There are various shops throughout the station as well as some black market goods. Weapons are highly illegal and armor is also considered controlled contraband. Most cyberware is available unless it has the capability of being a weapon. Other controlled contraband are some cyberdecks, security and surveillance equipment. If the piece of gear is often used in nefarious dealings, then it will usually be on this list.
