This is a homebrew TTRPG campaign world.
Through pools of endless time, they watch a world circle endlessly though wonder to antiquity, rise up to empires and crumble to gatherers, demand from the divines as equals and submit to annihiliation, the endless cycle of creation and destruction.   As the sun dawns over the forgotten ashes of the old world, survivors emerge to survive, conquer, and rise up in a new age. They stand in ruined citadels, along ancient rivers bent by the past, and on the rocky shores of forgotten mountains and dead cities. All silent testament to those that came before, and reminders of what will too become of them.   Some among them are legends - their deeds will shape their age for generations. Even greater, some legends are myths, the shapers of ages beyond their own. It is their tales, forgotten by mortals and disdained by the gods, that bend fate and shape the very nature of the cycles of eternity. Though their deeds live on, they mortal bodies succumb, their souls depart, and the cycle ends in a snuff, leaving no traces of those that set the machinations of fate in their direction.   Yet as one cycle ends, the next catches and burns to life with hope and renewal. New lands are revealed, the old nations misremembered, if known at all, and the survivors toil in the soils where great deeds challenged existence. Only the gods remember, smiling down as they place their pieces on the board for their own immortal games. Unaware of the small tokens on the board that already are changing the nature of the game.
Cycles of Infinity is a complex, ever-evolving world where player choices determine the outcome of future campaigns. Designed as part of a grand-campaign, players exist as catalysts to major changes in every cycle. What choices they take will impact the next campaign on a world-level, and may even determine if they are allowed to play certain types of characters.
