Saltstone Mines

The Saltstone Mines were abandoned years ago, left by the miners from Issenkald when the Dawn Legion overthrew the city. It was abandoned for years by the coast of the Sindevian Ocean, as it was ransacked a couple times by several parties, eventually deemed too dangerous to explore, certified as out of bounds by the Dawn Legion, and left to freeze over. A rumor started that the ancient elemental guardians were active, but their magic left a long time ago with their creator.

Purpose / Function

This mine was mainly used for its gold and gems. There were also some passages that connect to the depths of the Sindevian Ocean, where several rare plants and creatures could be found. Lastly, a special blue crystal known as Yrthellite could be found here, with magical properties used only by the Kingdom of Korvald.

Architecture

Dwarven architecture, but it has started to sag. The structure on the inside is extremely unsafe, which is part of the reason the Dawn Legion labeled it as out of bounds. The other reason is that if anyone was gonna find any hidden treasures in there, they would be the ones.
