Temple of Adcona

"A bad law is no law." - Cassandra Clare, Lady Midnight
You might think that church organization dedicated to the God Of Justice would be an easy place to find law and order in Cyrrin, and it would be understandable that you came to that conclusion. Regardless, you would be wrong.   The Temple of Acdona knows the will of their God is found, not in the letter of the law but in it's practice and impact upon the people. While many churches, temples, and religious orders feel they have a duty to steer away from politics and focus on what unifies a people rather then what divides them, the Temple of Acdona believes the opposite. They believe their moral and religious duty is political, and are very vocal about it.   Temples of Acdona are very adept at managing and rallying large groups of people, and there is nothing justice likes more then a protest. While this can look different from region to region (Dueling in Neravia and The Last Son law in Sraebadah) it typically has the same ending. Nothing injustice quite like Death.   Among his followers can be found large numbers of judges, lawyers, city watch guards, Janissaries, and politicians. However, very few of these people tend to have Acdona's favor. More often he can be found favoring the impoverished, the abused, and those society would cast aside.   Acdona followers have a reputation for being some of the most intense in their faith, dedicating entire riots and protests to him and honoring him through acts of vigilante justice carried out in the dark.   To a follower of Adcona, this is the only course of action that makes sense when the law fails to uphold justice. Even when societal and judiciary rules are unclear, Acdona himself is not: A society that does not ensure justice to it's people, is a society that does not deserve to exist.
"I think the first duty of society is justice." - Alexander Hamilton
