Druid's Welcome

Elves make judicious use of a form of magic known as a Druid's Welcome. Such magic consists of the druidic symbols for Welcome inscribed on a surface and imbued with woodland magic. The druid can use this totem to beckon beasts, spirits and other creatures to them and negotiate. The glyph doesn't force obedience, but allows a druid or their companions to barter with the beast for protection.
Particularly large or complex Druids' Welcomes can often be found near elven fortifications, where the elves use the bestial attendants as protectors.
