Banshees

Banshees are incorporeal specters of horrific appearance. Their mere presence could draw life-energy from their surroundings to the point of wilting flora and driving off fauna. Banshees are typically the spirits of vain or prideful elves whose own vanity or ego caused their death. Most banshees are quick to temper, and many do not realize they are no longer among the living.

Hunter's Notes

Being a form of undead, banshees are immune to all manner of spells that affected the mind and such as charm or sleep. Being incorporeal, only a blade coated in holy oil or blessed by magic could harm a banshee.
In combat, a banshee's most lethal weapon is its mournful howl. Few survive this wail, and those who do are deafened and bleed from their ears.
