Hobgoblins

General description coming soon...

Currency

Hobgoblin currency is founded in ingots of metal, melted down from their raiding and stored as ingots by their smiths. Their ‘coins’ are an extension of this--gold clinks are small, flat squares of gold cleaved from gold ingots, worth 1gp each and about the size of a coin. Copper drams are long fingers of copper used equally for smithing nails and as currency; they are about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide, worth about 1sp. Hobgoblins rarely trade in silver as most clans tend to hoard the precious metal for its combat and religious uses (despite their lack of a true pantheon), thus the value of silver and gold are commonly inversed in most Hobgoblin camps.

Religion

Hobgoblins worship Aspects in all their varieties, which they call "Spirits". Worse yet, most Hobgoblins believe the true gods to be false prophets lying to the realms of mortals. To the mind of a hobgoblin, bound by a contorted sense of honor, this twisted view drives the warlike race to violent desecrations and assaults of holy temples which make for ideal targets for their plundering.
