Culture
The Dwarves of Redcliffe Province are a proudly artistic people, who value strength and sweat over words and stories. They hold physical arts, architecture, sculpture, and smithing in high esteem and share a love for brewing with their northern Dumontian cousins.Government
Ruled by a council of three Thanes elected from among the dwarvish clans. Positions of governance, command and administration are misliked by the Redcliffe dwarves who accept these duties if thrust upon them, but rarely seek them out.Other Inhabitants
The surface of Redcliffe hosts a number of roving centaur herds and kobold tribes and the countless cliffs and plateaus conceal hives of thri-kreen. Belowground, the dwarven communities compete with deep-dwelling Nachthyr elves for space, water and other resources. The wilds of Redcliffe are otherwise filled with griffons, bulettes, dire bears and other savage beasts.History
Death of Hargan
A band of marauding ogres was causing rampant destruction and slaughtering passing tradesmen until their leader, Hargan Ironskin, was slain at the old Ardbreck Tower by a dwarf of Firebrand Clan. 368 S.A.Tenuous Alliance with Melorn
In the year 307 S.A Following the War of Retribution, the Arboreans of Melorn were in danger of being overrun by human mercenary companies and renegade army deserters. Melorn agreed to trade several tonnes of raw adamantine from Mount Pelithyr to the smiths of Redcliffe in exchange for protection. Redcliffe held back the human attackers in Melorn's city of Jasmine until the elven community could stabilize. The Redcliffe smiths used this bounty of rare, pure adamantine to fashion great works for years to come.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
