Rhea Whisperwind Character in D&D | World Anvil

Rhea Whisperwind

Rhea Whisperwind is the Sorceress Pirate Captain of the Sea Daemon Fleet that sails the Sea of Echoes. She has claimed an island in Brilgow Archipelago as her base of operations.

Sea Demon Fleet

Rhea Whisperwind operates a fleet of gold-hungry pirates in the Sea of Echoes. Their fleet includes:
  • The Bloody Balor.
  • The Maw of Aalackosh
  • - The Hellfire   Rhea herself operates each ship through a simulacrum. Though her ships and fleet carry fiendish associations, she employs only mortals and forbids conjuration magic aboard her vessels.

    History

Rhea Whisperwind was born an Arborean born in Melorn. At some point after her powers manifested, she was sent as a Speaker to handle a negotiation between Melorn and Bedegar. There she developed a fondness for the pleasantries of human courts and decided to stay, where she was eventually designated as Court Sorceress to Duke Kavius of Bedegar.   During the Fall of Blackreach, Rhea was present in the Duke's court when the castle collapsed. She was presumed dead for several decades until she resurfaced as captain of The Bloody Balor.

    Behaviour

Rhea is ruthless and cutthroat, even by pirate standards, but she still remembers the pleasantries of court and is fond of reliving those false niceties aboard her ship.   She sees laws as a sickening facade--any law can be broken without reproach, if only you have enough coin. Those chivalric types that cleave to law and order are hopelessly naive.   Her loyalty is expensive, but it can always be bought.   In particular, Rhea hates the House of Alcott in Cambria.
