    The Fifth Leyline is Opened
    Disaster / Destruction

In the Somnian grasslands of Nuriliath a sacred site to Seraphine was defiled by creatures unknown, though most Somnians assume the fault lies with hobgoblins. The assault damaged the magic responsible for keeping the Leyline contained, and unleashed a catastrophic wave of arcana onto the grasslands.   Some six or eight weeks later, Enesha, her companions and eight archmagi traveled to the Leyline to seal it. In doing so, they siphoned magic from the Leyline to complete the Archmagus Toril's magnum opus: Partum Draco (Create Dragon), and thus created the first Topaz Dragon.   Regrettably, though the Leyline is sealed and its magic no longer causing wanton chaos, the Arch-enchanter Lomar Wellfield and Arch-necromancer Kirin Tor were destroyed in the effort by the Leyline's guardian: a colossal worm-shaped Aspect of Arcana.
