Elf

Elves are isolationist, pretentious magic casters that care to stick to the trees. Elves live around 300 years on average, maturing at around 20. They are hated by every other core race. A popular slur is "knife-ear" or "tree-shagger." They are not at war, like the Orks and Dwarves. But if provoked, they will reign hell upon all else.

Diet

An Elf's diet consists of berries, cabbage, and assorted fruit. They usually farm, and have a culture of not hurting animals unless provoked. Nomadic Elves eat meat sometimes, but most Elf nomads aren't well documented. Elves are technically omnivores, but only the nomads utilize this. If an Elf was born in stationary cities or greater settlements, they have a gene that lends them to meat intolerance and herbivorism.

Anatomy

Elf anatomy is the most similar to ours in the core races, but lighter. Their bones are quite brittle, breaking at 20% less pressure than human bones, and with very slightly thinner and softer skin. Depite this, Elven warriors are quite formidable opponents. The Elves are part of a racial group known as the "Fae." Like most Fae, Elves have a innate connection to Mana. They can whisper incantations, that slightly alter the world. Like putting out a fire, or healing a small wound, etc. They have long, prominent sharp ears with a naturally dense shrub of hair in them. Most Elven hair colors are on the lighter side, such as platinum blonde or red. Rarely are hair colors darker than red. Their skin is always quite pale, as they tend to live in colder, temperate regions. Elves have human-like eyes, but with almost glowing green irises, and no pupils.

Culture

The culture of Elves vary among demographics. They evolved before the other sapient races, and so spread out unimpeded. When the Dwarves rose, they were mostly contained. The Orks even more so. But the Elves are in every corner of the continent. The biggest coagulation is in the east, who border the southern Dwarves. They are the most known culture, and mostly feed the stereotype. They developed a meat intolerance because of the conservationist society. They were the first to create the Fae Arcana Wells, concentrators of Mana that allow Elves to use higher forms of Magic. This Magic makes them intimidating to fight. They build wooden fortresses in the dense temperate forests in the east. They never really developed gunpowder with how efficient magic is, but still have rare firearms.
