The first intelligent species of Daena, known as the High-Fomor, were led out of the sea by Eladha, who bestowed upon them language, powerful magic, and the gift of fire. These majestic beings were created in the image of their divine patron, standing tall at heights of 7 to 8 feet, with four arms, four eyes, and unique ears—a stack of human and elven ear shapes.

The High-Fomor thrived in this paradise, guided by the divine principles of Eladha. However, their hubris led them to trespass into the celestial city of the gods, disrupting the delicate dance between the gods of dusk and dawn—an integral part of the natural order and cycles of the world. As a punishment, the High-Fomor who entered the city had their forms split, dividing into separate human and high elf beings. Meanwhile, those who remained on Daena faced their own retribution. They were adorned with horns, representing a twisted halo, and lost a pair of eyes that granted them the ability to see beyond the veil of reality.

The vengeful gods held Eladha responsible for the incident, burdening him with an arduous task spanning multiple lifetimes. In each incarnation, Eladha is reincarnated as either a Fomor, human, or elf, with no personal memories of the past lives. However, in a state known as the "Avatar State," Eladha can tap into immense power and cast intense elemental magic.

In the wake of these events, Daena transformed from a utopia to a world grappling with the consequences of divine intervention. The descendants of the High-Fomor and their altered forms, the Fomorians, coexist with humans and elves.
