Shriker

Human like humanoid with face features as a bat, without nose, eyes white or clear blue, almost blind, tall, and skinny with low mass density and some eco location sense: by emitting loud sound, normally screams to understand the surroundings or to alert other shriekers. A large group of these humanoids lived in the northern caves in the Black desert.
They had a simple culture with one chief, and some leaders for basic task like hunting, protection, and medical assistance.
When the settlements of humans nearby growth in population and strength they call the shrikers "Pass Face" (bat face in modern languague) and start to hunt them only because they where different. Suddenly, the Ilestone Mine Alliance understood the importance of this race for the enterprise as guides across the caverns for the miners and to find new veins, that way instead of extinction now the are slaves.
The shriker culture is almost lost except for their woven clothes, their sound language and their peculiar marrige songs. Almost all other traditions can be done while in captivity

Beauty Ideals

As other humanoid races they have some type of fashion desings, they are good in knit a steam of plants that grow in the black desert.
The stems have a lot of colors and tones, no one knows certainly how the weavers combine them to enhace and make frabrics of colors but they clothes look well and are perfect for the heat of the desert.

Courtship Ideals

The males make songs to court the females the females respond learning the song when they like the mate, when they sing together now the are together.
