Tholheiu (Tole-yu (ancient language))

During the period of high magic in the time of the elfs an artifact was desgined named  Cauldron of hearts this can create runes that, with certan conditions, can be attached to inanimated objcets to provide them of life.

Utility

At first a small "army" with only 8 tholheiu was created but this was a huge advantage to the civil war, the other houses didn't have an answer against this new magic and ceased the conflict
3 more of this where created but as the process was long and expensive and now unecesary they were decomisioned and re used as servants; at least 5 of them where at the shcool of magic in the capitla of the elven empire
Two more endend in posession of rich elven houses as gifs
Rumors say the other still function in gnome dwellings but at this day can be confirmed

Social Impact

Firts at all won the civil war between some magic elven houses then where very efficient servants
The processe was forbidden and no more tholheiu where created

Access & Availability

The process needed at least 11 runes to create 1 tholheiu, this was't an easy task because the process needed to create a rune in the caldrum of hearts take time and special components; but once a rune is created is more easy to change the "subjet or intent" of this.

Complexity

Was complex cause each rune, 11 needed, have a specific process that takes time and the materials where very specific; once you have the runes and the fullcrafted armor a new process was needed to attach, bind and give life to the armor.
As all new process, tech, magic; have failures cause not all the alloys or metalcrafting support or accept the enchantment, as a trail and error with the adventage the runes are not lost in this, they discover a combination of ferrum, silver and carbon that react to this, they called living metal.

Discovery

With a civil war bettewn magica houses the Cauldron of heart was used to aninmate a small army of Tholheiu; this was a product of magic and metalcrafting cause the a simple armor can be animatad but can't perform tasks, moreover the armor disasemble every time until an old gnome have an idea: animate each pice of the armor, and bindthem with the same power rune, in a more complex, more inovated way with the same objective; in that moment: war.
This house win the war cause, as a residual effect the tholheiu, as they name it, have resistance to weapons and magic.
