Oberon took a vow of silence, and so he does not speak. He instead communicates with sign language, gestures, and other non-verbal modes. Deep in an ancient grove of redwoods walks an immortal guardian. Oberon found this stand of trees many centuries ago, and decided to remain as a protector against deforestation, which had ravaged so many of the world's forests. He is rarely seen, despite his size, blending into his surroundings by remaining almost motionless, his silhouette broken by the swirling patterns on his body.
