The Sundered King

Summary

The Sundered King caused destruction across the world during his reign. He found an ancient artifact that allowed him to channel the powers of the Dark portion of the pantheon, against their will. This weakened them greatly and distressed the other Gods and Goddess. Even the ancient one Shanax was brought to heel, and when attempting to stave off it's influence, was wounded. A single drop of his blood fell to the mortal realm.


The Sundered King ruled with an iron fist, and with his army of minions and slaves, fell across the lands like a seething tidal wave. He left many nations as barely the shells of what they once were. He did not crush them and kill everyone as many thought he would, but he did leave few with any able bodies that could defy him. He was finally brought down by a small group of young rebels, one of which wielded the power of a god, but was a mortal himself.


His name was partly due to the damage he caused to the many nations he conquered, but also because of what the artifact did to his physical form. His body looked to be made of shattered and sundered stone. Much like that of the earth after a great cataclysm. It is difficult to believe that he was once the mortal realms, but no one has any idea of what race he was, and it is lost to the winds of time.
