Belt of the Mute Mage

The Belt of the Mute Mage is a Cursed Magical Item that used to host the sentient mind of an ancient Elf.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The belt has 9 glowing gems inside, upon putting on the belt you are instantly attuned to it. While attuned to the belt you are unable to speak, however you can concentrate on 2 spells at a time. The belt recharges one gem per month. By pushing in one of the gems you are able to speak until your next short or long rest, however when speaking this way your voice has an echo that distorts it, almost like its two beings speaking at the same time.

History

It was one of the Magical Items of the Dreamwalkers that's been donated to the Crystal Museum.
