Blood Crystal

Blood Crystal is the name of standard-cut Leviathan Blood used primarily for Magic. A standardized Blood Crystal proximity is enough for casting Cantrips, and contact with one is just enough for a level one Spell (hence why it's called level one - because it requires one standard-cut Blood Crystal).

History

When The Hunter and Támúór clashed, that's when the first drop of Leviathan Blood fell. None has fallen after, and we've been using that same supply ever since. Since some spells might require the crushing of Blood Crystals, we are constantly slowly running out of them, which may affect their price. The first ever Mages were created by swallowing Blood Crystals. It is not recommended to do so, due to an above 90% mortality rate.
