Church of the Golden Hammer (ʧɜːʧ ɒv ðə gəʊldən hæmə)
The Church of the Golden Hammer believes that when the world is ending "The Golden Hammer", a divine Dwarf with a Golden Hammer will appear and save us from whatever is threatening us. "The Golden Hammer"'s believers will then become its warriors, granted divine power to fight.
Mythology & Lore
"The Golden Hammer" first appeared during the march of the Green Horde. It was a Dwarf as bright as the sun, with golden plate and a golden hammer. The Hammer held off the Orcs long enough for us to escape beyond the Dwarovtár and reinforce it. If not for "The Golden Hammer", the Dwarovtár would not have been ready for the Green Horde and we would be no more.
Divine Origins
The religion formed during the march of the Green Horde, and spread once the threat has stopped at Dwarovtár. The believers prayed constantly and then were convinced that it's because of their prayers we have survived. The nation of Mantarhold then formed around the religion. Once it fell, the church started slowly fading into obscurity, and nowadays (apart from the few believers here and there) there's only one place still openly teaching and following the church: the Monastery of the Golden Hammer.
