Catherine

Catherine is aremarkably intelligent horse of the breed Connemara, who typically mature at about 5 years and live well into their 30s. Her owner is Serine Edessa, to whom she was given as a present for her tenth birthday. The two of them were like two peas in a pod, and Catherine spent all the years Serine was in the tower staring longingly at the stable doors, waiting for her human to come through. Others tried to ride her, she didn't care who, she hated it. She would occasionally allow it for the sake of excersize, but was known as a night-mare for kicking the unfortunate souls who attempted to ride her when she didn't want to. She would allow Dimir Edessa and Merani Edessa to brush her and give her apples, because they were clearly sad and she knew they were important to Serine. When the time finally came and she recognized the saddle as Serine's she was as kind as a lamb, and she was overjoyed when Serine entered the stable. At first Serine's new powers scared her, but she quickly became used to it.
