Hunters of the Dark

An ancient order of people who were committed to killing the beasts who came from the darkness.
Hunters are generally found within most major cities, located in guildhouses, and function as a sect of protectors. Most guild members are often employed as bounty hunters of great beasts terrorizing smaller villages, as outer city guards, and 'sweepers' within a city to eradicate traces of darkness.

Structure

Every guildhouse has a small committee of leaders who keep the guildhouse running, and within these committees is one chosen hunter who reports to The Venator and The Venator's clade.

History

The Hunters have been around for a very long time, in some form or another, as there has always been need for a group to vanquish creatures from the dark. Over time this has evolved into a well established guild-line, with guildhouses ever expanding into different settlements. They are far from the only service to fight creatures of the darkness - however, they are more a guild of protection, and they tend not to be the wholly adventurous sort.
