The Duchy of Aquilonia

This large independent duchy lies southwest of the Merovingian Kingdoms. It is ruled by Odo the Great, whose successful resistance to the encroaching might of Araby has caused his fame to extend far beyond the border of his own realm.  The strategic importance of the duchy in containing the Zakharans has likewise prevented its absorption by the Kingdom of the Franks.
