The Skosbundt is a myth about a tall, lanky creature who takes up residence in the
Dunkelwood forest in and near northern
Elken. The skosbundt is said to control the
Dark Entities as well as be able to teleport and move at a high speed.
This creature has been around for many years, it must be immortal or something!
My great-grandma told me of it when I was a child, she had seen it herself in her young days. That's quite a few years ago by now, and yet, the creature still roams the forest!

The creature in the forest
The origin of the myth is widely accepted as being
Tellebern, a smaller town located close to the forest. At the beginning of the 1400s, the villagers started seeing a strange creature move around in the woods.
At first, the villagers thought they might've just spotted a tall hunter out stalking prey in the forest. However, when one person came back to the town and claimed to have seen the creature up close, the myth of the Skosbundt was born.
The creature was described as being inhumanly tall and lanky, with abnormally long arms. It had glowing yellow eyes and dark fur or skin and it had teleported closer and closer to the freaked-out villager before it commanded a dark entity with a wave of its arm and it itself disappeared.
The name Skosbundt means forest-bound, which is a name the creature got since it never seemed to wander further than the forest's edge.

The Truth
The creature is not some commander of darkness and not even one entity. What the humans have really been seeing is the
Ilnetian Light Fae, a group of fae who decided to leave when the fae united, as they did not agree with it.
They are unable to control dark creatures but can destroy them with their light magic. The reason the creature appeared to be fast and to be able to teleport was simply, that there was more than one.
